So…who’s looking for a 1-bedroom apartment in the Marina? Because after this last weekend, we are seriously debating packing up and moving to Yara.
There’s already something so special about boutique hotels, but Yara’s 10-room venue truly went above and beyond all our expectations. From the elegantly inspired furnishings & thoughtfully designed rooms, to one of the warmest staff teams we’ve ever met. Even though we only stayed a couple of days, we were on a first-name basis with the entire staff by the time we checked out. And the manager at the time (Michael) personally made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of for the duration of our stay.
We’ve stayed in just about every hotel in Palm Springs by now, and one thing is for certain — Yara Hotel is where we’ll be coming back.
Effortless Check-In
We are all about the small things. So kicking our trip off with a seamless self-check-in process was just what we needed. A day prior to our arrival, we received a welcoming text message containing all necessary check-in info. From our room door code to the Wi-Fi credentials, and even the schedule for the complimentary breakfast, Yara made sure we had everything we needed right at our fingertips. After a long day of hitting all of our favorite thrift stores and sourcing vintage finds, the convenience of being able to head straight to our room without any formalities was a delightful touch.
Captivating Spanish Style Design:
While Palm Springs is known for its mid-century modern architecture and design, Yara stands out by flawlessly blending modern elements with a Spanish-style design.
Beyond the visual appeal, the Spanish-style design also played a role in shaping the overall atmosphere of Yara. The warm earth tones, abundant natural light, and carefully selected textures created an environment that felt both welcoming and luxurious. It was a harmonious balance between the historical and the contemporary, offering guests a truly immersive experience that celebrated the essence of Palm Springs' architectural heritage.
Beyond the Rooms:
As much as we love hosting guests, we also love beings guests as well. Yara's allure extends beyond its captivating design. The hotel boasts a range of amenities designed to enhance your stay. Picture yourself lounging by the sparkling salt water pool, surrounded by palm trees swaying in the gentle desert breeze. The soothing sound of birds chirping, relaxing music, and the picturesque mountain views create a sense of tranquility.

All of the rooms are centrically facing towards the communal areas, fostering a sense of connection and invites socialization among the guests. With only 10 rooms in total, Yara maintains an intimate atmosphere where everyone has the opportunity to meet and connect over the course of their stay. The small size of the hotel ensures that no guest goes unnoticed, and the friendly staff fosters an inclusive environment that makes everyone feel like part of a close-knit community.
